FAQs

When is the right time for a shoot with my baby?

There is no ‘right’ time, i’m about all the photos all of the time, but it’s not realistic for many of us to have multiple photoshoots throughout the year. In those very first two weeks, you get to capture that newness, the flakes of skin, the newborn wrinkles, them at their tiniest - also a time that you look back on and think, ‘were they really that small’? Looking a few weeks’ ahead you’ll get less of the sleepy shots and we might get a smile or two as baby wakes up. Then when they start sitting, crawling, standing arghhhhh! is there anything cuter?! It’s personal preference, you’ll never regret a photoshoot.

Why should I book you?

There are many talented family photographers out there. Please take a look at the photos here on my website and on instagram to check that my style fits with what you want from your photos. No amount of editing is going to make you love your images if I can’t give you what you’re looking for from the get go. I want you to walk away with photos that make you laugh, smile and cry - for all the right reasons.

Do you offer clothing / a client wardrobe?

I have a number of the sweetest knit and cotton items for your baby to wear, and an ever-growing client wardrobe for mums and mums to be. Most of these are in earthy, neutral tones. You don’t have to wear something from the client wardrobe and you don’t pay extra for it, its a complimentary service I offer. Once your booking is confirmed I send you through a style guide which includes the Client Wardrobe options.

Where do you shoot?

I have a gorgeous home studio space in Abbotsford, the Inner West of Sydney. The lighting is divine and is perfect for motherhood, newborn and maternity shoots. It is a space for those casual shots with bub, as you would at home, but without the prep! I can also visit you at your home or outdoors. I have my preferred spots to shoot that I can recommend or perhaps you have a special place?

I have a toddler who is…being a toddler, how will the shoot work?

I’ve been know to charm the odd toddler. A mum of two and aunty to many, i’ve spent a lot of time around children. My sessions are generally free flowing and led by the child, allowing us to capture genuine moments. If all else fails I’m not opposed to a bribe or two! You might walk away thinking your toddler wasn’t interested for some of the session, you’d be surprised at the magic we can create in the mini-moments.
